WOLFGANG AHNERT LEADS THE ACOUSTICS SEMINAR IN IRAN

IRAN: Shidco and Fares Tech recently hosted a seminar on acoustics and architecture at Shahid Beheshti University International Conference Centre.

The seminar was led by Wolfgang Ahnert, CEO of ADA and one of the founders of AFMG, the company responsible for EASE.

‘During the meetings, we had with architectural designers we realized their lack of knowledge of acoustics may cause serious problems.

That was what gave us the idea of conducting this seminar with the coordination of the professor,’ said Amir Mosleh, CEO of Fares Tech.

the seminar started with an introduction from Mr. Mosleh before Professor Anhert presented four sessions.

These covered room acoustics, general basics in

acoustics, building acoustics, and computer simulations.

The seminar was completed with a Q&A.

Major contractors and consultants were invited as well as some of the major directors of the government sector,’ noted organizer Zohreh Avatefi.

‘This is the first time that a privately held company has conducted such a seminar in Iran,’ stated Mehdi Moghadas Darab, CEO of Shidco.

‘We hope that the engineers and designers who attended the seminar have found the lectures useful and that we could make a contribution to acoustic design in Iran.’
